- $\tan\theta = \dfrac{\sin\theta}{\cos\theta}$ (tangente, définie si $\cos\theta\neq 0$)
- $\cot\theta = \dfrac{\cos\theta}{\sin\theta}$ (cotangente, définie si $\sin\theta\neq 0$)
- $\sec\theta = \dfrac{1}{\cos\theta}$, $\csc\theta = \dfrac{1}{\sin\theta}$

- $\arcsin : [-1,1]\to[-\pi/2,\pi/2]$ inverse de $\sin|_{[-\pi/2,\pi/2]}$
- $\arccos : [-1,1]\to[0,\pi]$ inverse de $\cos|_{[0,\pi]}$
- $\arctan : \mathbb{R}\to]-\pi/2,\pi/2[$ inverse de $\tan|_{]-\pi/2,\pi/2[}$
- $\mathrm{arccot} : \mathbb{R}\to]0,\pi[$ inverse de $\cot$
| Fonction | Dérivée | Relation |
|---|---|---|
| $\arcsin x$ | $\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{1-x^2}}$ | $\arcsin x + \arccos x = \dfrac{\pi}{2}$ |
| $\arccos x$ | $-\dfrac{1}{\sqrt{1-x^2}}$ | |
| $\arctan x$ | $\dfrac{1}{1+x^2}$ | $\arctan x + \arctan\dfrac{1}{x} = \dfrac{\pi}{2}$ ($x>0$) |
| $\mathrm{arccot}\, x$ | $-\dfrac{1}{1+x^2}$ | $\arctan x + \mathrm{arccot}\, x = \dfrac{\pi}{2}$ |
Formule de Machin : $\dfrac{\pi}{4} = 4\arctan\dfrac{1}{5} - \arctan\dfrac{1}{239}$ (calcul de $\pi$).
§ 7 Fonctions hyperboliques
|---|---|
| $\cos^2+\sin^2=1$ | $\cosh^2-\sinh^2=1$ |
| $\cos(a+b)=\cos a\cos b-\sin a\sin b$ | $\cosh(a+b)=\cosh a\cosh b+\sinh a\sinh b$ |
| $\sin(a+b)=\sin a\cos b+\cos a\sin b$ | $\sinh(a+b)=\sinh a\cosh b+\cosh a\sinh b$ |
| $(\sin)' = \cos$ | $(\sinh)' = \cosh$ |
| $(\cos)' = -\sin$ | $(\cosh)' = \sinh$ |
Via les complexes : $\cosh(ix)=\cos x$, $\sinh(ix)=i\sin x$.
|---|---|
| $\sin\theta = a$ ($|a|\leq 1$) | $\theta = \arcsin a + 2k\pi$ ou $\theta = \pi - \arcsin a + 2k\pi$ |
| $\cos\theta = a$ ($|a|\leq 1$) | $\theta = \pm\arccos a + 2k\pi$ |
| $\tan\theta = a$ | $\theta = \arctan a + k\pi$ |
| $\sin\theta = \sin\alpha$ | $\theta = \alpha + 2k\pi$ ou $\theta = \pi-\alpha + 2k\pi$ |
| $\cos\theta = \cos\alpha$ | $\theta = \pm\alpha + 2k\pi$ |
- Calculer $R = \sqrt{a^2+b^2}$. Si $|c| > R$, pas de solution.
- Écrire $\cos\varphi = a/R$, $\sin\varphi = b/R$ (i.e. $\varphi = \arctan(b/a)$).
- L'équation devient $R\cos(\theta-\varphi) = c$, soit $\cos(\theta-\varphi) = c/R$.
- Résoudre : $\theta - \varphi = \pm\arccos(c/R) + 2k\pi$.
